A Video on the Rapala Original Floater
#1 Rapala Original Floater
You can cast the Rapala Original Floater next to shore, reeling it in next to cover, or over the tops of weeds. No bait has caught more world record fish than the baits Rapala makes, that is a great vote of confidence in search of the Best Fishing Bait. My favorite color is black and silver. Bass, Northern Pike, Walleye, and Musky have left many a teeth mark on my Rapala Original Floaters. An often overlooked tactic is to cast your Rapala in shallow water, by a tree, or next to a weed bed and twitch it on top of the surface. This is an exciting way to fish because the water explodes when a fish hits your bait. If you enjoy long-line trollig in 5-10 feet of water, you will hook into some nice fish. One of my favorite early season Walleye tactics is troll a black and silver Rapala, locating the warmest part of the lake I am fishing in. I have caught many walleye, as well as many other game fish trolling a Rapala Original Floater. So there you have it, The #1 Fishing Bait, the Rapala Original Floater. You can cast it, twitch it, and troll it. If you don't have one in your tackle box, or want to give a fisherman a gift that they will actually use, look no further than the Best Fishing Bait, the Rapala Original Floater.

#2 The Mepps Basser Kit
Don't let the name fool you. This is a a great bunch of spinners to catch bass, but you will also catch Walleye, Northern Pike, Musky, and Trout. The only reason this is #2 on the list in search of the Best Fishing Bait, is you don't have the ability to twitch and is not as easy to troll with because it doesn't go as deep as the Rapala Original Floater. With that being said, there are days that the vibration of the Mepps Spinner will outfish any bait you could fish with. It is especially effect in darker water and when fishing in the weeds. It is also a versatile bait because you can fish it faster to keep it near the surface and fish it slower to get down deeper in the water. If I am fishing near a damn, or any place where there is current, you will find a Mepps Spinner on the end of my line. You could really have a Mepps Spinner as the #1 Fishing Bait, and when you are fishing in current it most certainly is.
#3 Mister Twister Jig Combo
The first two lures in search of the Best Fishing Bait are great for shallow to mid range depths when fishing. When the fish are deeper or feeding on the bottom in any depth of water, a Mister Twister Jig Combo is the way to go. Putting on a twister combo below a bobber and casting it next to cover is a great way to catch fish. Crappie, Bass, Walleye and Northern love the Mister Twister Combo. This is a great way for fisherman who like to cast and reel their bobber in, because this gives the twister tail more action and that means more fish. When fishing walleye, you don't have to fuss around with putting live bait on and can get your bait down near the bottom, where the walleye are waiting for food. Another great strategy is to cast next to shore and jig the Twister Jig Combo back to your boat along the bottom. If you are fishing from shore by a bridge, if you can cast by a pillar, fish will often strike as it falls to the bottom. So if you are looking for a bait that can be fished under a bobber, a bait to cast next to shore and bounce back to your boat, or fishing around bridge pillars, you have found the Best Fishing Bait. The Mister Twister Jig Combo is a time tested, angler approved fishing bait and a certain times of the year and under a variety of conditions, no doubt, is the Best Fishing Bait.
#4 Yo-Zuri Hardcore Shad
You may or may not have heard of Yo-Zuri fishing baits. They are made with cutting edge technology and catch fish. The Yo-Zuri Hardcore Shad allows you to fish deeper and cast farther than traditional deep diving crankbaits. When I am fishing in low light conditions and on clear water, the reflection that you get from this bait is hard for fish to resist. I especially like to crank the bait in for a few turns of the reel, pause, and then twitch it, often times this is when the fish hits. If you like to cast and reel your bait in and want to change up how fast you reel, look no further than the Yo-Zuri Hardcore Shad. The bait is a little more expensive than most crankbaits, so if you are fishing by toothy predators, you should be casting with fireline, or make sure you have a leader on. Musky and Northern love this bait and I have learned the hard way, by having this bait bitten off. So if you are looking for a crankbait that gets down deeper in the water, a bait perfect for low light conditions, and clear bodies of water, you have found the Best Fishing Bait.
